Another Southern California community faces gas shutoffs amid landslide threat

Rolling Hills, a Southern California community near Rancho Palos Verdes, lost gas services to 34 homes this week due to landslide risks, while 51 households are set to lose power by Wednesday evening.

The shutoffs follow earlier utility cuts in Rancho Palos Verdes, where nearly 250 homes were affected by broken pipes and power lines after Governor Gavin Newsom declared a state of emergency due to accelerating land movement.

Officials are working to expedite permits for generators and solar installations, while local efforts are being organized to assist affected residents, ABC News has reported.
