Iranian hackers sent ‘stolen’ Trump campaign material to Biden campaign

The FBI and U.S. intelligence agencies reported that Iranian hackers are attempting to influence the 2024 presidential election by sending stolen information from Donald Trump’s campaign to individuals linked to Joe Biden’s campaign.

In late June and early July, unsolicited emails containing excerpts from the stolen material were sent to Biden campaign associates, although there’s no evidence they responded.

Iran has also targeted both campaigns with phishing efforts. The FBI is actively investigating these incidents, warning of increased foreign influence activities as the election approaches.

Trump’s campaign is demanding transparency from the Biden administration regarding the hacked materials, ABC News has reported.

Iran’s UN mission dismissed the allegations as “fundamentally unfounded.”
