Dr. Jay Varma, New York City’s former COVID czar, was caught in an undercover sting admitting to attending drug-fueled sex parties while enforcing strict pandemic restrictions.

In the footage, he discusses sneaking into underground raves and hosting gatherings at his home, boasting about his role in shaping the city’s COVID response and vaccine mandates.

Varma acknowledged that his activities were “not COVID-friendly” and that he would have faced public backlash had his actions been revealed, the Daily Mail has reported.

Following the release of the video, he claimed he was targeted by a right-wing group seeking to undermine public health officials and took responsibility for his poor judgment during the pandemic.

Varma left his city post in 2021 and currently serves as chief medical officer at SIGA Technologies.
