Zelensky arrives in USA to explain war ‘victory’ plan to Biden

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky arrived in the U.S. on Sunday to present his “victory plan” aimed at ending the ongoing war with Russia.

He will meet with President Joe Biden, Vice President Kamala Harris, and former President Donald Trump during his visit.

Zelensky’s proposals come after intense fighting this summer, with Russia making gains in eastern Ukraine.

He hopes to persuade Biden to allow Ukraine to use long-range weapons against Russian targets, a request that has been denied due to escalation concerns.

Zelensky began his visit at a Pennsylvania factory producing artillery shells, expressing gratitude to the workers.

He plans to present his plan in full to Biden, followed by discussions with other leaders.

He emphasized the urgency of the situation, stating that the upcoming weeks are crucial for determining the war’s outcome.

His proposals include enhancing Ukraine’s military capabilities and securing a stronger role in global security, Barron’s has reported.

Zelensky also intends to invite Russia to a potential peace summit in November.
