Biden doesn’t want Israeli retaliatory strike on Iranian nuclear sites

President Joe Biden does not support an Israeli strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities but emphasizes the need for a proportional response to Iran’s missile strike against Israel on Tuesday.

Biden stated that the G7 nations agree Israel has the right to respond and discussed coordinated actions, including sanctions on Iran.

He plans to speak with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu soon.

While the U.S. expresses solidarity with Israel and warns Iran of consequences, it remains focused on diplomacy to avoid escalating conflict in the region, the Jerusalem Post has reported.

U.S. Deputy Secretary Kurt Campbell highlighted the administration’s alignment with Israel on responses while cautioning against broader military actions that could threaten U.S. interests.
