Chang Robotics and Jacksonville University have announced the launch of a “Robot Studio” aimed at developing advanced robots for healthcare settings.
Located on the third floor of JU’s Health Sciences Complex, the 4,000 sq. ft. studio will allow researchers to program, test, and prepare robots designed to assist healthcare teams.
The initiative reflects JU’s commitment to hands-on engineering and computer science education, providing students with the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technologies.
Eight new collaborative mobile robots, termed “Co-Bots,” will be showcased as they prepare for deployment in a nearby hospital, as reported by The Robot Report.
Chang Robotics, known for its work in collaborative robotics and automation across various sectors, aims to contribute to the future of patient care through innovations such as autonomous hospital beds and robotic pharmacy equipment.
