Vice President Kamala Harris’ campaign is distancing itself from controversy after CBS aired two different answers to the same question during her “60 Minutes” interview.
A longer, meandering response aired on “Face the Nation” was replaced by a shorter, more focused version on a special Monday edition of “60 Minutes,” prompting confusion.
Conservatives criticized her initial answer as a “word salad.”
The Harris campaign clarified they had no control over CBS’s editing decisions, while the Trump campaign called for the full, unedited interview to be released, Fox News has reported.
CBS has yet to comment on the matter.
