Over 8,800 Pentagon-backed projects involved Chinese researchers, with many having direct military applications, the Washington Free Beacon has reported.
Top universities like Berkeley, Georgia Tech, and Pitt were found partnering with Chinese military-linked entities, violating the Higher Education Act by failing to report foreign funding.
Despite these findings, the Biden administration has not pursued enforcement.
