Russia’s Ambassador to the U.S., Anatoly Antonov, has ended his seven-year term, warning of deteriorating U.S.-Russia relations and the risk of nuclear conflict over Ukraine.
In an interview with Newsweek, Antonov criticized U.S. and NATO support for Ukraine, arguing that Washington is ignoring Russia’s warnings and escalating tensions.
He accused American politicians of recklessly prolonging the conflict for electoral gain and stifling voices of reason, Newsweek has reported.
Antonov warned that U.S. actions could lead to direct NATO involvement, heightening the threat of World War III.
