Haunted places across the U.S. attract attention, especially around Halloween.

Thrillist’s list of the Most Haunted Place in Every State highlights Illinois’ Old Joliet Prison, once home to infamous criminals John Wayne Gacy and Richard Speck.

Known for riots, executions, and its role in “The Blues Brothers” film, the prison now offers tours.

Visitors can explore the eerie site through self-guided tours on weekdays or nighttime flashlight tours leading up to Halloween, NBC 5 Chicago has reported.

Tours cost $30 for the public, with discounts for museum members and children.
