Fire at Chechnya Petrol Station Kills Four, Including Children

A fire at a petrol station in Grozny, Chechnya, has claimed the lives of four people, including two children, according to Russia’s Emergency Ministry.

Emergency services responded quickly, with over two dozen firefighters battling the blaze that devastated the station and surrounding vehicles.

The fire, which caused a large explosion visible on social media, has been extinguished, The Moscow Times has reported.

This incident follows a series of deadly explosions at service stations in Russia’s North Caucasus region, including a recent explosion in Dagestan that killed 13 people last month and another in August 2023 that resulted in 35 fatalities.
