Donald Trump held a rally in Aurora, Colorado, focusing on immigration issues and criticizing migrants, particularly Venezuelans.
He claimed that Venezuelan gangs had taken over parts of Aurora.
Trump also promised to launch “Operation Aurora” to deport gang members and vowed mass deportations if re-elected.
While some Aurora officials, including the Republican mayor, accused Trump of exaggerating the situation, Trump’s immigration message is aimed at smaller communities across the country, the Associated Press has reported.
Trump’s campaign continues to focus on immigration, framing it as a national crisis.
