Minnesota horticulture teacher Travis Gienger won the 51st World Championship Pumpkin Weigh-Off in California for the fourth year in a row.
His massive pumpkin weighed 2,471 pounds, narrowly beating the runner-up by 6 pounds.
Although his pumpkin fell short of his world record from last year, Gienger credited his win to healthy soil and hard work despite challenging weather, the Associated Press has reported.
After a 35-hour drive to the competition, his pumpkin will next be featured at a Halloween event in Southern California, where it will be carved by professional artists.
