The Israeli military released drone footage showing Hamas leader Yahya Sinwar’s final moments in a destroyed Gaza apartment, injured and throwing a stick at the drone before being killed by additional shelling.

Sinwar, key in the October 2023 attack on Israel, was found with weapons and cash after fleeing during a gunfight.

He had avoided Israeli intelligence by stopping communication in his final months, The Guardian has reported.

His death was confirmed through dental records, fingerprints, and DNA. Hamas has not commented on the killing.
