US Space Force awards SpaceX $730 million to launch at least 9 national-security missions

SpaceX has received $733.6 million from the U.S. Space Force for two task orders covering eight launches, including seven for the Space Development Agency (SDA) and one for the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO).

The SDA launches will contribute to the development of the Transport Layer, a satellite constellation aimed at providing secure military data and connectivity.

The NRO mission will take place from Vandenberg Space Force Base in 2025 and 2026, Space.com has reported.

These task orders are part of a broader contract with the Space Force to expedite launch services for national security payloads.
