A 19-year-old Walmart employee was found dead in a mysterious incident involving a large baking oven at a Halifax, Nova Scotia store.

Police responded to a ‘sudden death’ call but have not disclosed the exact location of the body. Multiple sources linked the death to a heated baking oven, though Walmart has not commented.

Halifax police are conducting a complex investigation, with no confirmation of criminal activity.

The victim, a member of the Maritime Sikh Society, remains unidentified, and the cause of death is pending, Metro has reported.

The store was closed for two days following the incident.
