A suspected drunken driver nearly collided with Vice President Kamala Harris’ motorcade Monday night in Milwaukee.

Video shows the 55-year-old man driving the wrong way on a closed-off section of I-794 as the motorcade passed.

The driver was stopped by Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Deputies. He failed sobriety tests and had an open beer can in his vehicle.

The man expressed surprise at how close he came to hitting the motorcade and is now facing charges, including drunken driving and recklessly endangering safety, WIS 12 ABC has reported.

The Secret Service thanked local authorities for their quick response.
