Trump ignites spat with US ally, accusing UK’s governing party of election interference

Donald Trump’s campaign has accused the UK’s Labour Party of “blatant foreign interference” in the US presidential election due to a trip by nearly 100 Labour activists supporting Vice President Kamala Harris.

A complaint was filed with the Federal Election Commission (FEC) after a Labour staffer promoted the trip on LinkedIn.

The Trump campaign has not provided new evidence of any violations, and Labour leader Keir Starmer stated that the activists traveled at their own expense as volunteers, CNN has reported.

The dispute risks straining relations between Trump and Starmer, who remains neutral in the election.
