Johnson’s ‘No Obamacare’ Remark Draws Attention to Unpopular Stance

House Speaker Mike Johnson stated that if Republicans win control and Donald Trump is re-elected, they plan a “massive reform” of the Affordable Care Act (ACA), aiming to reduce regulations.

At a campaign stop, Johnson responded to a supporter calling for “No Obamacare,” emphasizing that while the ACA is “deeply ingrained,” Republicans have “a lot of ideas” for overhauling it.

Trump’s campaign, however, distanced itself from the comments, citing no official repeal stance, DNYUZ has reported.

Kamala Harris’s campaign seized on Johnson’s remarks as a warning that a Trump win could jeopardize healthcare protections under the ACA.
