Mom and two young kids dead after jumping off Niagara Falls

A New York mother, Chianti Means, 33, tragically jumped off Niagara Falls with her two young children, 9-year-old Roman Rossman and 5-month-old Mecca Means, resulting in their deaths.

Witnesses reported that Means stepped over the guardrail at Luna Island, a popular overlook with a nearly 200-foot drop, on Monday night.

New York State Police indicated that the plunge was likely intentional, although the investigation is ongoing. As of Wednesday, rescuers had not yet located any of the bodies.

Friends and family have paid tribute to Means on social media, expressing heartbreak over the loss and highlighting the importance of mental health, the New York Post has reported.

This incident adds to a series of tragedies at Niagara Falls, including a similar case earlier this year where a mother jumped with her son, who was later rescued.
