Hunter’s remains found after suspected bear mauling in Alaska

Authorities in Alaska have confirmed the death of 50-year-old Tad Fujioka, whose remains were found after he was reported overdue from a deer hunting trip in the Sitka area.

The Alaska State Troopers were alerted on October 30, and search teams conducted land-based searches before locating Fujioka’s remains around 11:30 a.m.

Investigations suggest he was likely the victim of a fatal bear mauling, but details on the incident remain undisclosed, ABC News has reported.

His next of kin have been notified, and the investigation is ongoing.
