Florida’s convicted killer clown released from prison for the murder of her husband’s then-wife

Sheila Keen-Warren, 61, was released from prison after serving time for the 1990 murder of Marlene Warren, whom she allegedly killed while dressed as a clown.

Keen-Warren, who later married Marlene’s husband, Michael, had pleaded guilty to second-degree murder in 2022 but maintained her innocence.

The plea deal, reached just before trial, resulted in a 12-year sentence, reduced due to her seven years in custody and credits for good behavior.

Despite decades of investigation, Keen-Warren’s conviction relied on disputed DNA evidence linking her to the crime, which her attorney argues was weak, ABC News has reported.

Michael Warren, long suspected of involvement but never charged, has denied any role.
