Oklahoma town’s entire police force, including chief, resigns on same day

The entire police department in Geary, Oklahoma, resigned on Thursday, with Police Chief Alicia Ford suggesting the decision stemmed from issues with the city council.

Ford, in a statement, expressed gratitude for serving Geary and urged residents to engage more with council activities.

An interim chief, JJ Stitt, has been appointed, while the Blaine and Canadian County Sheriff’s Offices are providing assistance, Fox News has reported.

The city assured residents that 911 calls will still be handled and is also working to restore power following a recent severe storm.
