Rep. Rashida Tlaib, D-Mich., declined to endorse Vice President Kamala Harris during a rally in Detroit, where she spoke alongside Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez and United Auto Workers members.
While Ocasio-Cortez and others supported Harris, Tlaib focused on encouraging voter turnout without mentioning Harris.
Tlaib has been critical of the Biden-Harris administration’s response to the Israel-Hamas conflict, resonating with many constituents in Michigan, Fox News has reported.
Harris’s campaign has attempted to appeal to both Jewish voters and Arab-Americans by releasing differing ads on Facebook, showcasing her support for Israel while also expressing solidarity with civilians in Gaza.
