5 are killed when small jet crashes into vehicle after taking off in suburban Phoenix

A small jet crashed into a vehicle after taking off from Falcon Field Airport in Mesa, Arizona, killing five people, according to police.

The Honda HA-420 business jet struck the vehicle outside the airport around 4:40 p.m., igniting a large fire.

Authorities confirmed five fatalities but did not clarify if all victims were on the plane or if there were casualties in the vehicle, the Associated Press has reported.

The FAA, NTSB, and local authorities will investigate the incident.
