Chinese scientists have reportedly achieved a breakthrough in developing a real-life “Death Star” energy weapon, capable of using high-powered microwave beams.
The weapon combines multiple small lasers into one powerful, focused beam using ultra-precise synchronization technology, surpassing the accuracy of atomic clocks.
This new system, aided by optical fibers, has passed military testing and could be used to disrupt satellite signals, including American GPS systems.
The weapon is designed for space use, with claims that its combined power could exceed the sum of its individual components, the New York Post has reported.
China has previously pursued other advanced energy weapons, including a “brain-disrupting” weapon and a prototype laser rifle.
