President Joe Biden announced over $1.4 billion in climate change funding as part of his administration’s “Investing in America” agenda.
This includes $1.2 billion from the Department of Transportation to promote cleaner construction materials for transportation projects and $256 million from the Department of Agriculture for clean energy projects in rural areas.
The funding is part of broader climate initiatives under the Inflation Reduction Act and Bipartisan Infrastructure Law, aiming to reduce emissions, boost clean energy, and create jobs, the Washington Examiner has reported.
Biden’s administration has already allocated over $98.5 billion for similar projects, helping drive private sector investments in clean energy.
