Eight people were killed and 17 injured in a stabbing at the Wuxi Vocational Institute of Arts and Technology in Yixing, eastern China.
The attack, carried out by a recent graduate upset over academic and job issues, adds to a spate of recent violent incidents in China, a country known for low crime rates.
Just days earlier, a car attack in Zhuhai killed 35, marking China’s deadliest public assault in a decade, CNN has reported.
Other recent incidents include stabbings in Beijing and Shanghai and a bus crash in Shandong that killed 11, with motives in some cases still unclear.
