NATO holds large Arctic exercises in backyard

NATO is conducting its largest artillery exercise in Europe, Dynamic Front 25, involving 5,000 troops from the U.S., Sweden, the U.K., France, and other allies.

Drills are taking place across Finland, Estonia, Germany, Romania, and Poland, with 3,600 soldiers training in Finland’s Arctic conditions.

Experts view the exercise as a message of unity and defense capability to Russia, especially following Finland’s NATO membership after decades of neutrality, France 24 has reported.

The drills focus on enhancing artillery interoperability and preparing for Arctic warfare, dismissing claims of provocation.
