Russia has begun mass-producing “KUB-M” mobile bomb shelters capable of withstanding nuclear blasts, natural disasters, and conventional weapon attacks.
The shelters, resembling shipping containers, can house 54 people for up to 48 hours and are designed for quick transport and use in harsh conditions.
The announcement follows heightened tensions as President Biden allowed Ukraine to use US long-range missiles against Russia, leading to a strike on a Russian weapons base, the New York Post has reported.
This move, along with Russia’s new doctrine lowering the threshold for nuclear weapon use, has fueled fears of World War III.
