Trump picks former congressman Sean Duffy as next Transportation secretary

President-elect Donald Trump has nominated former congressman and Fox Business co-host Sean Duffy as Secretary of Transportation.

Duffy, who served in Congress from 2011 to 2019, has limited transportation experience but is praised by Trump for his communication skills and public service.

If confirmed, Duffy will oversee infrastructure projects, aviation safety issues, and initiatives like electric vehicles, while managing ties with Elon Musk’s companies, CNN has reported.

Duffy, known for his early fame on MTV’s “The Real World” and his career in law and politics, left Congress in 2019 to focus on his family.
