Marlena Velez, a Florida content creator, was arrested for shoplifting after allegedly being caught in her own video.

The incident occurred at a Cape Coral Target in October, where Velez scanned cheaper barcodes at self-checkout for items totaling $500.32.

After security footage was released, an anonymous tip led police to Velez’s social media accounts.

Her TikTok video, which showed her shopping and filling her trunk with bags, matched the footage from the theft, People Magazine has reported.

Velez, who has 356,000 TikTok followers, faces a charge of petty theft and has been released on bond.
