Police are investigating the fatal shooting of UnitedHealthcare CEO Brian Thompson in Manhattan, which they believe was premeditated.

The suspect, who fled New York City on an interstate bus, remains unidentified but is believed to have traveled from Atlanta.

Key evidence includes fingerprints, DNA, surveillance footage, and a backpack found in Central Park.

Investigators are also searching for the suspect’s electric bike and the gun used in the attack.

Bullets recovered at the scene were inscribed with words linked to insurance industry criticism, potentially pointing to a motive.

The manhunt has expanded with the help of the FBI and public tips, CNN has reported.

UnitedHealth Group has implemented enhanced security measures for its employees.
