Jay-Z has been named in a civil lawsuit accusing him and Sean “Diddy” Combs of raping a 13-year-old girl at a 2000 afterparty.
Combs is under investigation for alleged sex trafficking, and the case has drawn attention to potential fallout involving other celebrities.
Jay-Z denies the allegations, calling them “idiotic” and accusing attorney Tony Buzbee of extortion.
Buzbee, representing the accuser, amended the lawsuit to include Jay-Z after a dispute over settlement demands.
Jay-Z’s attorneys have requested the case’s dismissal or the accuser’s identity be revealed, the Gazette Extra has reported.
The federal investigation into Combs remains ongoing.
