A 16-year-old, Diego Leyva, has been charged with four counts of first-degree murder for allegedly killing his family in Belen, New Mexico. Leyva called 911 early Saturday, admitting to the crime.

Deputies found him intoxicated outside the home and arrested him without incident.

Inside, they discovered four victims—Leonardo Leyva, 42; Adriana Bencomo, 35; Adrian Leyva, 16; and Alexander Leyva, 14—dead from gunshot wounds.

After detoxing at a hospital, Leyva was booked into a juvenile detention center, ABC News has reported.

Authorities are investigating the motive for the killings.
