Freeland criticized Prime Minister Justin Trudeau for “costly political gimmicks” amid looming U.S. trade tensions, warning of a potential tariff war under Donald Trump’s presidency.

Poilievre urged Canadians to elect a Conservative government before Trump’s January inauguration, blaming the Liberals for economic and political chaos, the National Post has reported.

Housing Minister Sean Fraser also announced his departure, while Liberal MPs renewed calls for Trudeau to resign, further deepening the party’s crisis.
