Rex Heuermann, a New York architect accused of multiple killings in Gilgo Beach, has been charged with a seventh murder.
Prosecutors linked him to the 2000 death of Valerie Mack through DNA evidence and detailed notes found in his Long Island home.
Heuermann, 61, has been held without bail since his July 2023 arrest and previously faced charges for the murders of six other women, all believed to be sex workers.
Investigators continue to probe additional deaths tied to the Gilgo Beach case, which includes 11 victims since 1993, the BBC has reported.
Evidence suggests meticulous planning, with detailed records of the crimes found on his computer.
