A House Ethics Committee report found former Rep. Matt Gaetz violated state laws involving sexual misconduct, illicit drug use, and misuse of congressional resources.
The investigation revealed Gaetz paid women, including a 17-year-old girl, for sex, attended drug-fueled parties, and made over $90,000 in payments to 12 women from 2017-2020.
Witnesses described his use of drugs like ecstasy and marijuana, some purchased through a fake Capitol Hill email account.
Gaetz denied wrongdoing, calling the allegations a political smear.
Despite a DOJ investigation that ended without charges, the committee cited substantial evidence of misconduct, CBS News has reported.
Gaetz, who resigned from Congress in November, is now focusing on supporting Donald Trump.
