Nebraska Gov. Jim Pillen, 68, was hospitalized after being thrown from a horse while riding with family on Sunday.
He was initially taken to Columbus Community Hospital before being transferred to Omaha’s University of Nebraska Medical Center as a precaution.
While his injuries weren’t detailed, he’s expected to remain hospitalized for several days, CBS News has reported.
Pillen, elected governor in 2022, remains alert and in contact with his team.
