Body of Brian Matusz, former Baltimore Orioles pitcher, found at Phoenix home

Former MLB pitcher Brian Matusz, 37, was found dead in a Phoenix home on Monday, according to police.

The cause of death has not been revealed.

Matusz, a first-round draft pick by the Baltimore Orioles, had a notable career, including a World Series championship with the Chicago Cubs in 2016.

He was known for his time as a starting pitcher with Baltimore and later as a relief pitcher, NBC News has reported.

Matusz was remembered by former teammates, including Adam Jones, who praised him as a great friend and teammate.
