Two missing children from Ohio, ages 8 and 9, were found in Iceland after a months-long search, the U.S. Marshals Service announced.
The children were reported missing in October after their mother, 34, stopped taking her medication and left their home.
The search tracked them from Colorado to London, Jersey, and finally to Reykjavik, Iceland, where police located them on Jan. 10.
Icelandic social services cared for the children until a family member arrived, CBS News has reported.
The mother remains hospitalized until she can return to the U.S. Multiple agencies, including Interpol and the U.S. State Department, collaborated in the successful recovery.
