ICE arrests 956 Sunday as nationwide raids continue

In his first week back in office, President Donald Trump’s administration conducted nationwide ICE raids, leading to 956 arrests on Sunday and over 1,300 by Thursday.

The daily average of ICE arrests has risen from 310 in FY 2024 to 433.

Notable arrests included members of the Tren de Aragua gang, sex offenders, and convicted murderers.

Operations in Chicago and Austin targeted drug trafficking, resulting in the seizure of drugs, weapons, and cash, News Nation Now has reported.

Local leaders, including Chicago Mayor Brandon Johnson, condemned the raids, pledging to protect immigrant communities, while protests erupted in Texas against mass deportations.
