Mysterious drone sightings have resurfaced in the Northeast after the FAA lifted temporary flight restrictions imposed late last year.
Reports surged in states like New York, New Jersey, and Connecticut, with Enigma Labs documenting 650 sightings nationwide since November, including 14 after the ban ended.
Videos show flashing red lights in clusters over neighborhoods.
Despite increased sightings, the FAA and FBI have not identified any national security threats, attributing reports to lawful drones, hobbyists, and misidentifications, NBC News has reported.
Gov. Kathy Hochul has called for legislation to regulate drone use, while lawmakers and officials continue to monitor the situation.
