Pentagon pulling Gen. Milley’s security detail and clearance ‘immediately,’ may face demotion in retirement

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth is pulling retired Gen. Mark Milley’s personal security detail and security clearance, citing actions that allegedly undermined the chain of command during Trump’s first term.

The Pentagon is also removing Milley’s portraits, effectively erasing his presence from its halls.

A review board will assess whether to strip Milley of a retirement star.

Milley, who served as chairman of the Joint Chiefs from 2019-2023, had been under security protection due to threats from Iran, Fox News has reported.

The move signals what officials call a “new era of accountability” under President Trump’s leadership.
