On February 4, SpaceX launched a Falcon 9 rocket from NASA’s Kennedy Space Center, deploying two Earth observation satellites for Maxar Intelligence, completing its WorldView Legion constellation.
The mission enhances Maxar’s geospatial capabilities with six high-resolution satellites in dual orbits, enabling up to 15 daily passes over specific locations.
The satellites capture 30-centimeter resolution images, capable of identifying objects the size of a car hood, Space News has reported.
This launch follows two earlier successful deployments in May and August 2024, marking a key milestone for Maxar’s Earth imaging fleet.
