President Trump is set to sign an executive order banning transgender athletes from competing in women’s sports, fulfilling a key promise from his 2024 campaign.

The order will direct federal agencies to enforce Title IX rules prohibiting transgender girls and women from participating in female sports.

It mandates enforcement against schools and athletic associations, with potential legal action and loss of federal funding for non-compliance.

The order also encourages the NCAA to align its rules with the mandate and calls for changes to policies at the International Olympic Committee and visa regulations, ABC News has reported.

Critics, including the Human Rights Campaign, argue the order could lead to increased discrimination and harassment.
