Meta has announced plans to invest significantly in AI-powered humanoid robots, with a focus on household chores.
The company is forming a new team within its Reality Labs division to develop the necessary hardware, AI, sensors, and software.
While Meta will not initially build its own branded robots, it aims to provide technology for robots to be manufactured and sold by other companies, Yahoo Finance has reported.
Meta has already started discussions with robotics firms like Unitree Robotics and Figure AI.
