Pope Francis, 88, has been hospitalized for bronchitis treatment and canceled all events for the next three days, the Vatican announced.
Doctors found a respiratory infection and a slight fever. His canceled events include a Jubilee Audience, Holy Mass, and a meeting with artists.
The Pope has faced recurring health issues, including influenza, past surgeries, and recent falls, NBC News has reported.
Despite his ailments, he downplayed concerns in his autobiography, stating, “I am well” and emphasizing that leadership comes from the “head and heart, not the legs.”
