President Trump expressed the belief that Russian President Putin wants to end the fighting in Ukraine, dismissing concerns about Putin’s ambitions beyond Ukraine.

Trump, who has been involved in negotiations to end the war, mentioned that both Putin and Ukrainian President Zelensky want to stop the conflict.

However, Zelensky, in a separate interview, cautioned Trump against trusting Putin, calling him a liar and warning that Putin could target NATO countries like Poland and Lithuania next, The Hill has reported.

Trump disagreed with Zelensky’s warning, stating that he did not believe Putin would wage war against NATO.
