UK Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer emphasized the importance of Ukraine’s sovereignty in discussions with President Donald Trump next week, following a call with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky.

Starmer reiterated the UK’s unwavering support for Ukraine and stressed that Ukraine must be central to any peace negotiations.

This comes as Trump seeks to thaw relations with Russia and end the war in Ukraine, sparking protests in London, the BBC has reported.

Zelensky expressed appreciation for the UK’s support, while European leaders, including Starmer and French President Macron, held summits to address concerns over Ukraine’s involvement in peace talks.
